Jess Lilley
Partner Attorney
Jess is an attorney and a managing partner of Lilley & O’Connell. P.A. He has practiced in the fields of criminal defense and personal injury for over 23 years in state and federal court.
Jess was born and raised in New Mexico and has been married since 1993 and has three adult children. After graduating from law school, Jess moved down to Las Cruces to practice law with his brother Michael Lilley and nephew Marc Lilley at the Lilley Law Firm. In 2012, Jess partnered up with Jerome O’Connell to open up Lilley & O’Connell, P.A.
Jess has extensive trial experience (75+ jury trials) in both state and federal courts in all types of cases- DWI, drug cases, violent crimes, murder, civil-personal injury cases. Jess has represented several death penalty eligible clients in federal court and is prepared to handle any case at trial. Jess served three years on the New Mexico Public Defender Commission and has presented at numerous seminars on various issues involving criminal defense. In his free time, Jess has spent years coaching sports, running marathons in Boston, Chicago, and San Diego, and spending time with his family.
